About
Hi.
I’m Thaddeus Reeves, and I’ll attempt to summarize who I am and what I do.
Some technology people are simple to explain. They are a programmer or a network engineer or a graphic designer. I am a big mix, with a lot of skills that have made me very comfortable in roles as a Web Producer, or in other cross-discipline areas such as web analytics or SEO.
I’m from the northeast U.S., specifically Maine – one of the most beautiful and charming places in the world. I’ve lived all over the U.S., including Connecticut, Massachusetts, Oregon, Illinois, Virginia, New York, and Los Angeles, and am now in the quite pretty, yet woefully traffic-strangled city of Arlington, Virginia.
I have key interests and competencies, mainly in the areas of Web Analytics and the many problems & solutions in Search Engine Optimization.
I worked my first Web Analytics job in 1998, when I was with Webtrends – which was then a very ride-‘em-cowboy sort of operation. Analytics fascinate me, and they’re something I just don’t tire of, and the provide a great window into the life of your website.
I’ve also been an avid volunteer throughout my professional career, doing mountains of volunteer work that I’m extremely proud of, such as work for the Volunteer Ministers, work to educate kids on the dangers of drugs, and other related activities. When I last lived in Washington, D.C., the plane that hit the Pentagon on 9/11/2001 skidded over the bike path I’d ride in to work every day, so the fact that everyone and anyone could use some help is something that is definitely not lost on me. In short, it’s quite real to me that we all have a role in helping others within our spheres of influence, and I’m proud to be able to do that, in addition to my professional capacities.
